Enriching the lives of our people

For the development of individuals and communities

Circet Benelux is growing at a rapid pace. But our organisation doesn’t treat people as mere numbers. On the contrary, only by seeing our employees as Anna, Farid and Steve, and not as a mechanic, groundworker or project coordinator, can we influence their lives positively.

In a truly safe and healthy environment, our employees are therefore not just building tomorrow’s infrastructure; they are also growing as individuals. At Circet, self-development is one of the ingredients of success for everyone. With this same mindset, we also lift the cities and villages we visit to a higher level.

1-1

Focusing on a proactive safety culture

Veilligheid

Circet Benelux, directly or through subcontractors, sends hundreds of employees to work sites or to people’s homes every day. There they face potential danger. Making sure everyone goes home unscathed after a working day is an absolute must for us. We work safely or we don’t work.

We therefore want to focus on optimal safety awareness. Everyone should feel responsible for their own safety and that of others. This mindset helps us to keep the number of workplace accidents at a low level, mitigate safety risks, and obtain certifications such as VCA**.

Safety focus pays off with sharp drop in workplace accidents

60%
Decrease in the number of workplace accidents. Numbers 2023 versus 2022.

90%
Decrease in the number of days missed. Numbers 2023 versus 2022.

Quality and safety policy go hand in hand

This is evidenced by our certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and VCA** standards. We are also investing to achieve ISO 45001 certification, the international occupational health and safety management standard.

2-1

Providing equal growth opportunities

In our search for new colleagues, we look beyond experience and competencies. Our priority is to find people with the right attitude and drive through traditional and new channels (e.g. social media). We then convert these strengths together into technical and other skills. In short, Circet Benelux relies on training and coaching. For this, we have the vibrant Circet Academy but also collaboration agreements with partners who focus on equal (employment) opportunities.

Incoming: carrier switch!

“When I started in Circet’s Legal department, I quickly discovered that a career stuck in law books all day long was not my cup of tea. Thanks to the Circet Academy, I am now contributing to the 5G rollout as a site engineer!”

To offer equal opportunities, it is necessary to reach potential colleagues where they are.

3-1

Building a healthy, satisfied and inclusive team

Inclusief team

Employees who feel good about themselves create a more positive working atmosphere. That is what we are aiming for with, among other things, an intensive onboarding process, a tried and tested buddy system, well-being campaigns, and coaching sessions for healthy leadership. However, things do not always go as planned. That is why we also focus on initiatives such as burnout prevention and a reintegration policy.

Finally, we are continuously building a diverse and inclusive team. While we’ve already made great strides, we would like to welcome more female colleagues in the coming years. After all, a balanced mix ensures good dynamics.

We adhere to the ETI Base Code for Fair Trade throughout our entire supply chain.

More than 20 nationalities

Circet Benelux has had a mix of different ethnic backgrounds and nationalities for years. This diversity has grown organically and also explains why we offer training in multiple languages.

The XX factor at Circet

Are we operating in a male-dominated sector? Historically, yes, it developed that way. But the number of female colleagues is increasing slowly and we are doing everything we can to keep up the momentum.

Burnout signals in time

With targeted training, we show our Belgian employees the tell-tale signs and how to intervene.
